Lacy Camp, M.Ed.
Clinical Director
Licensed Professional Counselor
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Lacy Camp is the Clinical Director of Samaritan Counseling Center and is licensed both as a Marriage & Family Therapist and as a Professional Counselor.  Her specialty areas include pre-marital counseling, marriage enrichment, couples therapy, and caregiver concerns especially around aging parents. Lacy particularly enjoys working with women and has focused much of her work and study on helping women in transition such as moving, divorce or midlife change.  She also sees adults and teens dealing with anxiety, depression, family and developmental stress, and traumatic stress due to abuse.

Lacy sees people in individual, couple, and family therapy settings, working with each client to find the best approach.

Lacy receives ongoing supervision with Susanne Fincher in the therapeutic and meditative use of Mandalas and finds that approach helpful especially when clients feel overwhelmed by their situation.

Lacy received her M.Ed. degree in community counseling from the University of Georgia in 1984 and studied for two years as an extern at the Atlanta Institute for Family Studies.  She also attended Candler School of Theology after graduation from Wesleyan college.  She began seeing clients while at the University of Georgia and has been in practice ever since.

Currently Lacy is serving as the President of the Georgia Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.  She enjoys yoga, reading, travel and art of all kinds.

Lacy has been married to Tom Camp for 35 years and they have two adult sons.
